Biography: Dr. Yin-Hsuen Chen is a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Geography, University of Florida. She received her doctoral degree at the same department. Her research interests focus on the human-natural interactions that can be applied to develop a sustainable environment. Her research topics include 1) evaluating influences of anthropogenic activates to river-floodplain system, 2) estimating impacts of natural hazards to coastal communities, and 3) applying GIS and remote sensing techniques to transform data into visual, actionable information.
