Mehedy Hassan is a Ph.D. candidate in Geography at the University of Florida. His research interests include the use of remote sensing and GIS techniques to study and model land use and land cover change, with applications in disaster mapping, environmental decision analysis, landscape ecology, and urban development.
Mehedy aims to develop effective and efficient methods of providing spatial information and evidence to support data-driven decision-making on environmental change and rational uses of ecological resources for sustainable development. Mehedy previously earned a MSc in Geo-informatics from the University of Seoul and a MS and BSc in Geography and Environment from the University of Dhaka.
