Mr. Tom Poehling serves as the President & Chief Investment Officer for Poehling Capital Management. He has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry and co-founded the firm in 2004. Tom earned two undergraduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Business - Finance, Investment & Banking and Marketing. He is a strong believer in the teachings of Warren Buffett and Benjamin Graham. An advocate of lifelong learning, Tom regularly attends industry conferences, annual shareholder meetings of Berkshire Hathaway, and maintains regular communication with members of the value investing community. In addition, he engages in active dialogue with members of the legal and tax professions as a means of staying current on planning strategies for the benefit of the firm’s clients. Tom serves on the Board of the Ryan M. Poehling Charitable Foundation, which is focused on helping students realize the benefits of higher education and providing resources for families burdened with the costs associated with caring for a loved one afflicted with a debilitating illness. Previously, he served on the Boards of the Nakoma Absolute Return Fund and West Middleton Youth Baseball & Softball.
