Student Art Displayed in Geography Department

Anna Hinkeldey is a third year pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and a minor in Art History. In her freshman year she took GEO2242 Extreme Weather with instructor David Keellings, which inspired her to begin creating works involving weather phenomenon. For her class ARH4930C Site Specific Painting, she was required to collaborate with a faculty member in the hard sciences to create a series of three 4’ x 4’ paintings based upon the research of her chosen faculty. With her continued interest in geography, weather, and climate, Anna reached out to her former instructor David Keellings whose research focuses on heat waves, climate change, and health. Stop by the main office to admire the works and read about their inspiration.
