She was also selected as a 2023 Climate Action Leader by the Aspen Institute working on climate change initiatives.

In the community, Julia sings at Holy Trinity Church in Gainesville and also with the residents of Oak Hammock Retirement Community. She sang in Carnegie Hall in New York City with the University Choir.

Julia is a Reitz Scholar and is a Golden Gator Council member where she serves as a liaison between students and UF leaders. She represented UF as part of the Centennial Homecoming and Gator Growl Homecoming Court.

Since 1921, the University of Florida Hall of Fame has annually recognized seniors and graduate students who have consistently demonstrated an outstanding commitment to improving the University of Florida through campus and community involvement, participation in organized campus activities, and scholastic achievement. It is one of the most prestigious honors awarded to students by the Division of Student Life at the University of Florida.
