Caroline Huguenin receives honorable mention for the Association for Academic Women’s Emerging Scholar Award

Caroline Huguenin was awarded an honorable mention by the Association for Academic Women (AAW) for the Emerging Scholar Award. The award recognizes outstanding researchers who have contributed to creating a more inclusive and diverse community. The Madelyn Lockhart Fellowship, established by AAW, honors PhD candidates who exemplify exceptional research and dedication to their community. The Fellowship program was initiated by Dr. Madelyn Lockhart, former Dean of the Graduate School and Dean of International Studies and Programs at UF.

Caroline’s dissertation work was particularly impressive to the selection committee. Her ability to articulate the significance and transformative potential of her research stood out. Additionally, Caroline’s outreach activities and presentations, which extended beyond the requirements of her research, highlighted the transformative potential of her work. The committee commended Caroline for her academic achievement, her compassion for helping communities and individuals within those communities, and her dedication to breaking down barriers to their success.
