Abstract: In this presentation, the ARRC’s technology roadmap will be described, from the conventional radar to the next generation phased array radar. These radars support many field experiments. Selected radar systems and their scientific applications will be showcased in this talk. Moreover, advanced weather radar simulation will be presented.

Biography: The Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) is an interdisciplinary research center at the University of Oklahoma. ARRC currently has 20 faculty members, 23 technical staff, and more than 70 graduate and undergraduate students from science and engineering, all working together to solve problems in radar-related and applied electromagnetic fields. ARRC has grown into one of the largest academic centers in radar with the practice of the so-called cycle of innovation. The ARRC’s core competencies including rapid radar prototyping, signal processing, applications of artificial intelligent and machine learning, severe storms, hydrometeorology, etc.

All are welcome to attend.
