Abstract: Hurricane Michael had serious socio-ecological impacts on forest ecosystems in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. This presentation will highlight the ways that non-industrial forest landowners in the Panhandle, FL were impacted by Hurricane Michael including their level of preparedness, resources used and future restoration plans on their forestlands.

Biography: A natural resources social scientist working to better understand people’s environmental decision-making, and to determine avenues through which to connect people with natural resource conservation and management.
