Abstract: Although humans & non-human animals have lived alongside each other for thousands of years, very little is known about the relationships between humans and non-human animals (HAIs). This work provides a broader context, across different locations (Madagascar & Florida) for these HAIs, including our knowledge of human-dog relationships & the efficiency of humane methods for the conservation of domestic & wildlife that are negatively impacted by dogs; the burden & risk resulting from proximity & the ensuing interactions between humans & domestic & wild animals in the occurrence of zoonotic diseases.

All are welcome to attend.
