Biography:
Michael Norris is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Geography and the Emerging Pathogens Institute. He has spent 15 years managing and working in high-containment laboratories with bacterial pathogens of public health concern. Since the global pandemic began, he has researched COVID19 therapies and mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Several project vignettes will present the breadth of research topics including work in Africa, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Texas.
