Geography students participate in Training of Trainers Workshop

PhD student Ryan Good and Master’s student Audrey Smith recently participated in a workshop series focused on the training of adult learners. Hosted by the Gender and Development Working Group at UF, the purpose of the workshop series was to help graduate students who are working (or will be working) in conservation and development fields to gain some basic training design and implementation skills. Conservation and development specialists are often asked to train communities, groups, agencies, NGOs, and more on topics that they have expertise in. The hope is that this workshop series would help graduate students take their expertise in their field and translate it into trainings that are relevant to their audiences.
