Dissertation Topic: Evaluating the Spatiotemporal Variability of Coastal Total Water Levels along the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf Coast.
Research Statement: My research focuses on evaluating the total water level (TWL) contributions for the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf coasts using NOAA’s Coastal Ocean Reanalysis (CORA) dataset. I will investigate dominant water level components and identify how they spatially vary over seasonal to annual time scales, with a focus on the role of shelf bathymetry and wave transformations.
