Research Statement: Neha’s doctoral research focuses on understanding how the material specificity of islands shapes the formation of political subjectivities in the eastern Indian Ocean. She is interested in theorizations of local identity in island contexts. Neha’s earlier work supported research projects on post disaster recovery and public health and nutrition in India.
