Dissertation Topic: Spatiotemporal Analysis of Heatwaves and Their Impacts on Public Health in the United States
Research Statement: My research focuses on understanding the spatial and temporal dynamics of extreme heat and its impacts on human health. Using climate datasets, GIS, and public health data, I analyze heatwave characteristics, including intensity, duration, and frequency, and examine their interactions with social vulnerability and population health outcomes. My work aims to identify populations at risk and contribute to improved public health preparedness and climate adaptation strategies.
