Research Statement: My research is to focus on bacterial pathogenesis and host-pathogen interactions related to Bacillus anthracis, Bacillus cereus biovar anthracis, and Burkholderia pseudomallei. The ultimate goals are to develop new approaches for diagnosis and therapeutic methods for these fatal diseases.
