Congratulations to Hannah Herrero, recipient of the 2017 University Women’s Club Graduate Scholarship!
Established in 1922 by President Murphree for women faculty, staff and spouses, the University Women’s Club seeks to offer social and service opportunities to its members. Today any woman interested in the University of Florida is invited to join us. Over the years many garage, bake sales and other fund-raisers took place to raise money for scholarships “to promote student welfare”. Our UF Foundation endowment funds undergraduate scholarships in honor of the “first ladies” of the University each year. In addition, the graduate awards given are funded solely by money raised each year through individual member contributions.
