Bad Commutes, Good Commutes: Gender, Race, and Commuting to Work in U.S. Cities – Trends and Implications

Speaker: Dr. Ibipo Johnston-Anumonwo

Professor, Department of Geography, State University of New York at Cortland

Dr. Johnston-Anumonwo has distinguished herself in the fields of urban geography, African studies, and geographic education. The Association of American Geographers will present her with the Distinguished Teaching Award at its Annual Conference in San Francisco in March. The AAG cited her “skillful teaching which incorporates innovative and transformational approaches in curricular and co-curricular endeavors.” She is also a recipient of the SUNY-Cortland Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities.
