Congratulations to Andres “Andy” Garcia who has just started a new two-year position
with the Gates Foundation in Seattle. Andy will be developing geospatial
applications to trace and display the distribution and spread of various
diseases globally. He will return to Gainesville in a month to defend his
doctoral thesis.
